fuel tank level gauge identification help please

see pictures of the broken level sender unit on the following link - I need to know the donor car so I can buy a new one - might be vw based - but might not!

That sender looks identical to the one used by westfield for their vdo gauges.
No idea if its used in any mass production car though.

Yep. That looks like the VDO one I bought with some gauges.
