Just got back from holiday and have read that some peps that were on the Brands track day are a bit worried about temps.

Dont worry to much the weather is exeptional. My T350 rose to 117 with the oil at 98 on one occasion just before lunch. So long as you keep topping your fluids up and change the oil after the event its ok. Try using wetter water with your coolant(not tried it myself yet)

Oh, Cooked the aternator on the day and got half way home before she gave up the ghost.

AA got me home.

Might invest in a Leven radiator which im told helps with the cooling...Thanks Steve.

Great track though, just to bendy for the sp6 me thinks. By the time your revs hit the spot your on the anchors out of the bends that are to quick for second.

Track suited the yellow Lotus to a tee.

Which track? Guessing I'd say Abbeville?

Sorry to hear about the alternator. Have you checked the magic fuse?

Yes the 100amp fuse is fine.. But i did notice after removing the bloody thing that there was a small wire with a yellow band on it saying alternator, which was just hanging there at the back. Now on the alternator there is the big wire which goes to the fuse, there is also two 3mm threaded terminals one has the nut on it with no wire the other has no nut, and i now wonder if that wire that was hanging there come from the terminal with no nut and what that wire does....

I NEED HELP

Oh and the track was Brands Indy

Can I see any of what you need without taking the airbox off? If so I can nip out to the garage and a take a photo for you.
