best way to get a bit extra out of a 4 ltr

what is the best way to get a bit of extra grunt out of it
without breaking the bank

my 4.0 griff has just come back from having a chip fitted by ian @ torque rvt and im really impressed, a lot more mid range, I frightened the sh1 t out of a new m3 today in l/pool city centre (you know who you are) also runs and pulls much smoother all for a couple of hundred quid.

If you want a serious increase in real world hp and you've got a couple of grand to throw at it forget cams and haeds and go for a 4.6 bottom end. speak to people like V8 developments .. they'll probably do some storming drive in / drive out deals on stuff like that.

You did some great and inexpensive stuff to your 4 litre Joo,as i recall you got some great numbers from what you did.Can you run through a few of the mods please mate?

Having played all these (bhp increase) games in the past, with the benefit of hindsight, I'd going fo driver training, will make you far quicker than an additional few horses and you have the benefit of being able to use it in any vehicle.

Yeh i see your point.We'll have to have a chat then,as i've the memory of a goldfish and i'd like to cross them off my list!I've just done another little mod,which i'm hoping will show a slight gain on the rollers at the Growl
