t350 alternator

Just returned home with the aid of the AA it would appear alternator has gone, the problem now, flat battery and windows will not go up any ideas AA man is on his way back! its only now that I remember dealer forget to give me battery terminal adaptor. Not encouraged by the AA mans statement "I'll be seeing you again" Worse still I'll be in the rover for a few days. Is the alternator a common one and why.

Ask him to check the fuse. The fuse goes car more frequently than the alternator. Unfortunately I can't remember where it is. I believe it's on the chassis somewhere (and definately not next to the battery, that one's for the power steering).

the fuse is bolted near the back of the starter motor.

The alternators fail constantly on tvrs mainly due to heat ingress, any expensive sports car will have a cooling duct aimed at the back of the alternator to dissipate the heat. Easy mod!

Yes - on Cerbera's .. were the alternator is in the valley of the V engine but the S6 has it alongside the engine ..
