Well, with all the M15 stuff going around, it got me in the mood for driving yesterday. Lower than surface-of-the-sun temperatures, and dry roads made it a less than hard decision.

Mr X: 'You coming over then?'
Me: 'Love to. See you in an hour.'

We struggle out of central London, and less than an hour's motorway cruise, arrive.

After about half an hours chat we get down to business.

Me: 'How's it running then?'
Mr X: 'Fine. Still some playing to be done but we seem to get 500bhp in this weather day in day out.'
Me: '....f.ck'
Mr X: 'Fancy a trip round the block?'
Me: '....f.ck'

We decide it'd be best to get out of town a bit, so I follow as best I can. We both pull on to a straight bit of dual carriageway and start to accelerate. I stay with the other car....for about 2 seconds, then the kind of gap opens up that us M12 owners normal embarrass other cars with. A little way up the road we pull over and swap cars.

First impression is it's very much like my M12. A bit less torque low down (say the 1,500rpm level), then quite a bit more. Then quite a lot more. Then over 6,000rpm....oooo now we're moving. I look in the mirror. My car looks very small for some reason. Probably the fact that it's a long, long way away.

I want, and I want now. All too soon we're back at base and swapping back. I end up with the mother of Noble type grins on my face. I'll have to get me one of these.

The best thing is I've already got one. Just need to swap out the stereo for a better one...

Has Phillip been playing in an M400?

I sat in one on Saturday and was offered a test drive. I politely declined saying that if I did, it would cost me £15 grand!

Not them, but that sort of thing. It was quite depressing how it crushed my 3R. It's not something that happens much when driving a Noble. You look at the rev counter and the boost gauge and all is fine and still it drives away like you've left the handbrake on.

There life left in the platform yet it seems.

Sadly not goes in the classified this weekend.
But gonna be back next year for an M400 when the M15 comes out.
Just cant justify the Noble whilst being in Gloucester.

[Young One's]Beans? What do you know about the beans?[/Young One's]
I can't really go into detail here yet, for various reasons. It was just really an observation that there lots of headroom, performance wise, in the current line up. It'd be interesting, if we can get agreement with the Dunsfold people, to get a TG esc lap-time set. Have you heard anything of their planning woes lately?

No I think the thread reads to imply this is an M12/3R. So whatever it is I'm very interested. Can't wait til he can go public.

Could be, although they must have had to do something with the gearbox, so it's surely going to be something quite extreme.

I'm excited about this - when can we know :stampsfoot:
