As i'm due to make a long journey in the next few weeks, thought this might help with fuel efficiency, any thoughts?

its like those magic power boost chips, defo do not put onto ANY car, let along a TVR!

Not sure if you've done any decent runs in your car, but my normal 13 mpg going to work & back turned in to 27 mpg going to Italy & back last week. You can't hope for anymore than that, from that kind of car

All those billions of pounds & years that the car manufacturers have spent in trying to get more economic engines, and all the time, there was a cure on ebay for £9.99 including packaging.

Ahhh, those lovely french roads. Had the pleasure once on these roads one sunday morning, at an average of 110 leptons, with a max of 170 letpons, nice std 98 ron fuel too.

Cant remember the fuel ave, but nice to know the Cerb can still get the high 20's.

High 20's. Thats encouraging. Our new 2.0 Nissan Primera only gets 29mpg, and thats after a new engine under warrenty.

Hi Snowman, you haven't said where your going, but looking at other forums, it looks like Tuscany.

I've just done, Reims, Milan, San Remo, Reims.

Don't go through Switzerland, unless you've a fetish for long traffic jams.

Take enough oil with you to last 2000 miles.

If not parking under cover, you may want to take a car cover or something to put in the window to stop the heat (I burnt my hand on the gear knob, much to the amusement of the missus, I covered the aforementioned with a cloth & promptly burnt my other hand on the indicator stalk)

You might want to take your sponge, in case you want to wash the car. You'll find lots of manual jet wash car washes, but they only supply a brush & it doesn't get in the gaps in your wheels.

Presume your taking a sat nav.

Make sure your air con is working.

Hope at least some of that helps.

The other half suggested we should have took some kind of cool box, to keep the drinking water, drinkable.

Warm water, tasted horrible.

We went to the San siro for a concert, entering the stadium at 8.30pm was 41C, leaving at 11.30pm it was down to 35c.

Our air con wasn't working, and with the engine heat, I dread to think what the cabin temperature was... but it was enough to make you feel sick every time the car stopped.
