Way off topic - employment agencies in NYC

I've got a trip to NYC coming up and would like to pop in to an employment agency to discuss Engineering Design (Automotive preferably) opertunities in the states. Can anyone here recomend an agency? If not I'll have to go to Aardvark Recrutment or who ever it is who comes up first on yell.com.

Also interested in finance/sales/PR jobs for Mrs Muppet.

You are better off sticking your resume on Monster.com/hotjobs.com or the like. I, for one, detest employment agencies as the "independent" hires that we make off of the internet always seem to be better...

I'm after general advice really - when I'm serious I'll contact the companies directly.

I can't really think one right off hand. But when the economy was booming, there were people call me up constantly and they were from head hunters that charged the company with no fees from the individual. I don't know of head hunters from the auto industry, only the tech sector. I will have to inquire about those people.
