Just like to say thankyou to everybody on here that gave me tips and help with the new engine transplant in my car, once i sorted the coils out that were labeled wrong from the factory it started. It puurrrs like a kitten, i've never felt the new clutch as light since i bought the car, no oil leaks (touch wood) oil pressure is better than ever, water seems to have bled nicely. Just need to drop the oil now then run it in for a while. Then it will need mapping ( hint hint ) can't wait !!!!! fingers crossed it should make good figures. Thanks again to everyone.

Congratulations, it takes a lot of commitment to carry out a full strip and rebuild and with the sounds of it all has gone very well. I bet you can't wait to get it mapped.........

Be great if it makes the Tuscan racer figure of 450hp, looking forward to seeing the result . What fuel are you going to use as the compression ratio must be very high, something like 12.5:1 in the racer lump afaik

Cheers Cirvy, you'll have to let me know nearer the time, i,m a bit skint to say the least after all this.


Took it out for a little run tonight, it feels very strong, just pootling around in fifth, it had a lot more low down torque than a standard one. anyway spoke too soon about oil leaks, the rocker covers weaping a little so will have to sort that tomorrow night and general tidying up pipes etc.


HarryW its not a racecar lump so the compression should not be that high, would be nice if it made that sort of power though
