GTV 3.0 probs, any info appreciated

A couple of niggles with my GTV V6; anyone know what loud squeaking from the rear suspension means? This is happening virtually every time the car moves, and its loud. Another thing is a major amount of wheel hitting the arches (standard teledial 17 inchers) both front & back but especially the back, and with someone crammed into the back, i get it even under gentle cornering?
I'm new to the car any advice appreciated; would be nice to know how scared of the bill I need to be before I take it to a garage...

Squeaking from the rear is almost certainly going to be worn bushes. I had this on mine at 7 years old and around 50,000 miles. I had the bushes replaced with powerflex ones (in fact, I think I got the whole arm replaced on an exchange basis) and they've been silent ever since. Handling's possibly been a bit sharper too.

Can't tell you exactly, I'm afraid. The parts weren't too bad, but I'm not sure how much labour was involved because I got a couple of other things done at the same time. I'd be surprised if it's more than £100 - £150 all in, but someone here is bound to have an exact figure.
