When replacing an engine on a 996 tiptronic, is it necessary to finalize the work with some "wallet fix" (reset some parameters) or should the engine start right away ?

It'll need the fault codes clearing in the engine management controller and all other control units, the throttle plate adapting, fuel adaptions resetting and the shift adpations resetting in the tiptronic controller... Is that what your getting at?
