That you need to disconnect the remote linkage top rod to get the box out? It appears to run over the top of a horizontal chassis brace, and you can get to the box end (13mm spanner) so I think you must have to disconnect to remove the box (T5)?

Just changing the clutch, looks like the crankshaft oil seal may have been dripping too! Any other helpful tips regarding clutch change greatly appreciated! Is V8 developments the best place for a clutch at the mo?

Thanks in advance

Thought as much, but after taking the m8 nut & bolt off the box input end, the remote linkage didn't drop off as expected.......I've spent a an hour on it this morning, but so far achieved nothing! Apart from grazes and cuts!........How do you disconnect from the box end? I can see the bolt at the bell housing end, but I assume this can stay in place, I've taken the bolts out of the bracket for the linkage that attaches to the box (two 17mm horiz & two 18mm vertical nr the lever input gaiter) but this is starting to get rediculous.........I'm too big to work on these things!

Sorted, them pesky little nylon bushes in the remote linkage! Pity no one has a clutch in stock at the mo! I've tried HHC, V8 Dev & TVR Power - I thought it was only Cerbies that had this grief!

Must now go and take radiator out as it has sprung a leak...........great way to spend your hols!

Which end did you take the nut off from, the end closest to the engine or the rear of the car.

It took me ages to find those bushes when I did my clutch, and involved much swearing and gnashing of teeth!

You will have to take the nut off the bell housing as the remote gear linkage goes over the chassis member as you have found out. The nut sits on the engine side of the rose joint on the bell housing and is fairly easy to get to with the gearbox off.

The only thing is you may have to invest in some splitters as the gearbox is steel and the bell housing is ali, mine was quite corroded.

Good luck!
