I got my Nat B licence 5 years ago and for a few reasons, mostly down to the cost of houses, never raced. Now ive found a nice cardboard box to live in and every trackday leaves me annoyed that they didnt give me a big shiny cup and i've yet to find the pit girls to get back to my trailer.

msa won't just let me reapply for the licence.
so, can you just take the ards test without doing the whole, "this is a corner, this is an apex, that'll be £450, thanks" days?

cheers

I think becasue of the amount of time that has passed since last holding a licence,5 years as you say then you'll need to take your ards again - full test as you say. I think from memory your allowed 2 years without having to re test. A quick check in the Blue book, or a call to the MSA will confrim this though. I'm at work at the mo and dont have a blue book with me otherwise i'd look and check for you. The MSA are on the other end of 01753 765000

Where is it £450?, I paid £150 for mine 5 years ago but even allowing for inflation, can't have gone up that much....could it?

Think Silverstone's (Exige) is £270-odd, or £350 with the full day of skid-car and Caterham handling added in. Mallory's (S3/RS Focus) is £210 ish so you're looking around that as a minimum. Not seen any for £450, but a fair made point - they ain't cheap.
