Hi

Having been promissed much and delivered little, apart from bills, by our previous architect/ planning consultant we are now looking elsewhere.

A lack of time, and not wanting to personally deal with the local council, mean that we are looking for someone to come up with a suitable design and see that design all the way through to planning application being granted. We have a particularly petty local council and so the task wont be easy, althouth the proposition is simple enough; building a larger house on the site of a small house on a +1 acre plot.

If anyone would like to get involved or can refer me to suitable candidates I would be glad to speak to them. We are located to the south of Reading in Berkshire so someone fairly local would be good, although not essential.

Cheers

We use Barry Waine at Shoosmiths Northampton. He has solved a lot of planning problems for us - www.gemini-group.net - recently won a planning appeal that seemed hopless.Deals with the council direct. Has a wealth of planning knowledge, talks straight and wont BS you, and has a great architect. Despite the fact its Shoosmiths he is not that expensive and we recommend him.

He is away from the office until 14th August. PM me if you want his contact details.

Hi, do try Andrew Hinton at Corinthian Architectural Design (www.corinthianad.co.uk). Based in Chichester, but I'm sure willing to travel. Their website doesn't show much other than their contact details, but they recently completed the structural design work for a cocktail bar we (Studio Limonard) have just completed. A very friendly and professional company. They do both commercial and residential work.

Hi

I'm not far from you and have been using a brilliant Guy based in Oakley, near Basingstoke. He's semi retired but used to be a planning officer. He has provided excellent service to us and been great value for money

I won't post his details on here but PM me if you'd like them

Try DP9, Planning Perspectives or NAI Fuller Peiser. All based in London. can vouch for their good work on a number of private resi, mixed use and private/affordable resi schemes.

Is this just a loft conversion or multiple units?
