Just been having a poke about under the rear claim as my intercooler fan has stopped working.
Needless to say its still not working but in my look around noticed that I have a blown fuse.
The fuse in question is one of four which sit in a box just behind the drivers head.
Can anyone tell me what those four are as there is nothing in my manual.
Looking from the rear of the car left to right they appear to be rated
20,20,10,15.
It was the blue 15 one that had gone but everything seems to be working ok apart from the bloody fan

According to the service manual three fuse are for the ECU (2x 20amp & 1x 10amp) the 15 amp fuse is for the start relay.

Ah that may then have something to do with the fan not working. The fan should come on all the time as soon as it starts but if the 15 amp had blown how did the car still start

Or, call obes, as he most likely knows where the fan fuse is. I thought it was in a carrier attached to or fixed near the intercooler.
If I remember from fitting Martins IC, its on the lead from fan to plug point. Check that 1st.

There is an inline fuse between the fan and the power supply. That seems fine but I changed it anyway but still doesn't work. The 15amp fuse in the box behind the drivers head had blown big time but everything still seems to work ( except the fan ).
I'll have to take it in to somewhere to get a meter on it and see what the hells going on.

WOrty. Check the wiring to the switch on the intercooler fan. The connector and/or crimping can come adrift sometimes. Pull the black sleeve back from where the cables go into the switch at the bottom left 'as you look from the rear' and check everything is OK.
Finally, ensure you have a good earth as that also can give issues (remember the fan doesn't come on until it gets over 35Cish inlet temp).

Thanks for that. My fan should be on all the time as its been hard wired in because I was having issues with the rear turbo radiating heat onto the switch and it not turning off for an hour or so after I'd stopped.
I'll check the connections and report back

Ah, I used the feed to the reversing light switch to control a two pole relay to turn the fan off when the ignition was disconnected I'll check the connections and report back
