I have just recently acquired An immaculant price list from 1977, a bit sad to some Maybe but i have been collecting TVR memobilia for a while now.
Anyhow i was plesantly surprised on reading that a basic OTR price of £5813 and now they are fetching around £5900 for A1 one thats not a bad return for some 25yrs of motoring.
An 3000M was £5131 and are now around £6750.
These prices are the Basic with no Extras like the £78 for a 5, yes 5 button Radio WOW LOL. Electric Windows £195 and Leather seats £175.
So does this also mean my Griffith will be worth over 36K in 25yrs time. Dont really care wether it is or not as its all relavent to Wages/cost of living etc and i its more about the Driving expierence/ownership to me, but an interesting thought.

Quite a catch that BB. It's very difficult to forsee what will be "classics" in the future. Obviously all TVR's from 50's, 60's and 70's - maybe 80's because they built so few. Anything which becomes rare can earn classic status. I had a 1969 Mini Cooper 1275"S" in the early 70's (yes, I'm an old git) and sold it for £575 in immaculate condition and never thought it would be worth what they are now. Had other unusal hacks which would all be considered classic because they are now rare. BUT - I could not have afforded to mothball any of them, which is what you'd have to do with your Griff for about 20 yrs for it to make money. And you would need to keep it in a "Carcoon" in humidity controlled garage etc...........
Any chance of posting a scan of it or something BB?
Cheers.
edited coz i cant spell this late and i'm tiredzzzzzzz
