Noticed the last couple off days on the A13 between Lakeside and Basildon. A Grey 5 series unmarked cop car.

Are they pulling reckless/dangerous drivers?

Or just those exceeding the limit?

Probably same one that cruises up and down the A130. Given the level of sane behaviour I've seen on A130 last few times I've used it everyone local knows the two unmarked cars that patrol it regularly. I'll keep my eyes open as I drop onto A13 from Lakeside/Sticky Pit junction in future.

It gets worse. Now noticed a Black or maybe a very dark green 5series the other day aswell. Only got a glimpse off it as i shot past on the other side off the carriageway. Think it's black.

Thats gotta be it. At first thought it looked black. But after i got a second glimpse it was looking dark green. Wasnt sure if it was just the light.

heh seen the unmraked cars got caught on the A130 last year in jan for 99mph got away with a 60 quid fine and 3 pts was pulled by a volvo T5 (nice them T5's BTW) i was in my MR2 turbo then.
then due to my slightly steep learning curve from the first time i got caught AGAIN the other was in may last year at *cough* 120mph which saw me in court last oct where i got a 56 day ban and a £300 fine but no points! lucky me eh!

still had to sell the MR2 after though insurance with the ban was £700 more a year!!!

Or BLACK - got pulled by one in the summer. Black 5 series - nice BiB though - let me off with a slap on the wrist.

Looks like Essex BiB have been busy down at Fairfields...

I for one am pleased they're on the A13.

It is without question one of the best places to view absolute knobjockey driving of the highest order by uninsured tw@ts.

Spotted a couple of times last week was a Navy Blue Volvo C70 (Yes - coupe) T5 unmarked car around Maldon and Chelmsford A12 stretch. Its not what you would expect to be an unmarked car - you have been warned.

They were out on the A13 again yesterday.

Absolute MONKEY in an old Merc 500 undertook me at 100+ and then cut me up as he swerved across both lanes.

Five minutes later, who do I see by the side of the road with PC Plod and his colleague, engaged in what looked like a serious talking to, punctuated by much arm waving and incredulous mock offence that he'd been stopped?

Yes sir, MonkeyBoy.

I slowed down, wound down the window and encouraged the officer to give him the full treatment. I actually went home via the wine shop and bought a bottle of fizz to drink becuase it made my night.

That's perfectly acceptable driving according to the Nigerian Highway Code....
Its covered on page 4 below "How to control your Donkey on a mud track"
