Heads up (quite literally) for all club members interested in Formula 1. There is an exhibition current titled FORMULA ONE™ - The Great Design Race at
DESIGN MUSEUM, SHAD THAMES, LONDON SE1 2YD

"This exhibition is a must see for anyone interested in motor sport" and there is special evening exhibition event centering around a talk on Formula One design by Patrick Head and on 4th September 2006 - 6:45 to 9:00 p.m.

Tickets are a very reasonable £10 including museum access, a glass of wine and the talk. There is plenty of information on the museums website.

I'm going - there will be 3 of us and I have 4 tickets, so if they run out I'd be able to do a deal with somebody for the 4th...

I have just had 3 (of 24) cancellations! So there could be a few gaps which is a shame as the exhibition is excellent - "small but perfectly formed" - and I gather Patrick Head can lay on quite a presentation.

As TVR owner you may see the CITY RO Danny there tonight.

The museum is still hosting a "Small but perfectly formed" exhibition which I would recommend to any one interested in the design aspect of F1. They have an important car from each decade from the first rear engined Cooper to Alonso's 2005 winning car. There is some truely amazing historic incar footage on big screens. I've been once and will be going again before it closes.
