Good luck to all London Travellers

Just a quick meassage to say good luck to all those unfortunate enough to have to travel in London and get taxed out of backsides for the "pleasure".

Let us know if anyone spots any differences in the traffic light timings today.

well what normally takes me 35 Mins took me about 30 today - but that might have just been luck. I make my decision as to whether to go back to public transport at the begining of next week - last time I used it the same journey took 1hr and 15mins on average....

Trip this morning took about the same as normal. Left Windsor at 06:00 as normal, parked my car about 06:45, as normal. M4, full of members of MLOC, as usual.
Was wondering if the trip would be worse as people tried to get in just before the switch-on time but couldn't see any difference to be honest.

By the way, had to drive through London to Catford and back yesterday - good grief, that was the worst trip I've made in a long time. A2 closed in Peckham on the way there, two (minor) accidents on the way back, including one that looked like someone went into the back of another car braking for a red light camera. Sunday drivers - horrible!

I know I'm not in London, but my journey time to work this morning was at least 15 minutes quicker due to it being Half term.

Oh yes I forgot - but hey what time does school sart anyway - I was actually parked by 6.45am anyway - Now when I was at school (boarding school admitedly) the only time we were up that early was to either do a morning run or take or morning run! (depended on which year you were in!)

Could all this be a cunning plan to make it look as if CC is working though, the half term thing?

It's going to be quieter wherever the schools are closed, and it's a bit convenient that this just happens to coincide with the start of half term. Journey times are slashed, Mr Shampoo declares a massive success....

I'll stick my neck out and say that £5 a day isn't enough to force anyone to change their habits, so traffic will stay exactly the same.

Whether it counts as a success or not will be down to him spending the money on _anything_ anyone notices.

I'd hope to see some little notices apprearing .... "Cleaning and refurbishing of this train carriage was paid for by the congestion charge" ????
