the Porsche PanAmericana
Discussion
Some years ago I saw a design study by Porsche based on the then 911 (might have been about the time the 964 was replaced with the 993) I can't remember if it was at the motorshow in just in pictures in a magazine.
It was almost 'targa esq' but the whole roof seemed to be off and the sides were left on, I think is was called the Pan Americana? The car was a metallic green if I remember rightly. Any ideas as to if I am right or what happened to the car?

I remember that. I think it was shown at a time when Porsche didn't have loads of cash, and before the current management took them head to head with Henry Ford. I think Bez was involved with the car, and ultimately, though it was dropped as a production contender, it provided some styling cues for the glass-roof 911 Targas that followed.
