hello all. i'd like to put a dvd player into my 996 as the buttons on my head unit are peeling (any cure for that?) and it looks tatty. i'd like to put it in the upper console which means moving the a/c unit, is it a big job?

is there any product recommended and will it work with my standard changer.

thanks in advance.

Hi there
There is nothing available that will work with your standard changer but as many of the DVD systems have an iPod controller or even a built in hard drive, the changer is often redundant.
Alpine, Kenwood and Pioneer all make systems with slightly different features, and assuming you want sat nav on there as well, you should budget between £2k and £2.6k all in (fitted) depending on the exact system you go for.

Here's a pic of the Pioneer one in a 996 here:

Hi,
In that instance we did, but Pioneer have just released a 996 specific kit for their Hard drive/bluetooth unit which will reduce the installation cost a little.
For Alpine/Kenwood systems we fabricate a surround and trim it in matching vinyl.

Cheers
