Just popping my head up to say hello - after lots of searching for pennies under the sofa and trying the 400 then 450 I finally bought a lovely starmist blue '98 Chimaera 500 on Thursday from Fernhurst. Very happy so far, having owned a few different cars I think this is a car I'll be keeping for a while!

Am sure I'll be in touch with a few questions over the next few months...

Me too, I'm in Torquay. Mine's a little cheaper though. 1995 400 for £5300, just got it through the MOT with a lamda sensor!

Well done both, and welcome to the wonderful world of TVR ownership... be sure to take good care of your new toys, and they'll pay you back with lots of pleasure.

Another newbie here from near cullompton (Devon), got myself an early griff 500 , absolute money pit so far , bought unwisely but its coming together fine . really detested this car at first , handled like a pig , kept breaking down but we`ve turned a corner and the handling been virtually sorted with some new bushes but could do with some new shocks to finish and it only breaks down if its got a shitty on :furious . so much character it must be alive !.

Love to hear about any runs going on locally (got breakdown now)

It's green, which worries me as I have never had a lot of luck with green cars!
