God that does look great maybe a bit fussy at the doors but it's great and Dutch :-) so I could easily pop round if I wanted to!

Was supposed to be testing this car for PistonHeads last year, and the UK agents said they were enthusiastic, but after about three weeks of constant phone calls and constant promises of doing it within days without it happening I got fed up with them.

Have tried contacting them a few times since but all I ever get is an answering machine, and I'm not wasting my time leaving another unanswered message. Noticed they weren't at Stoneleigh this year, though they were the two previous years when the right hand drive version wasn't even finished.

Stunning looking car, shame about the company.

And kurtiejjj, it isn't Dutch, it's Slovakian.

had a very long chat with the chaps who had taken the one to Stoneleigh - they were extremely enthusiastic about the car, however were a bit cagey about questions on the company itself, which didn't bode well for me.

I considered one of these as an alternative to my scratch build project, but struggled with getting any decent info as well. I think the fact that there website has been "under total reconstruction" for over 2 months now doesn't serve to inspire confidence either.

Still, maybe the jigs and moulds will be for sale soon... I think with the right company behind it this car could be a real winner.

The parent company is based in Poland I think, their US dealer has a good presence and both have good websites, there is a busy forum too. If anything it would be a change in UK dealer but I guess they have a lot invested in SVA compliance by now? I'm fairly sure all manufacturing is still done abroad..

I considered one too but no practical roof or wind up windows put me right off..

It's from Slovakia. I was considering building one two years ago but endless delays, missed deadlines and bad reports from the guys attempting to build them in the US put me off. That and the way they priced it - the basic kit with roof was listed at £18K. Add wheels/tyres/paint/donor parts/engine/SVA etc.
Shame really I was hoping this would be a success, looks like a big missed opportunity - though I suppose it could still come good.

I had exactly the same problems in why not buy such car...I was tempted though because there is a supplier in the Netherlands too who build them....

There was a post a couple of months ago about the development of a hard top with some shots. And they've had a soft top for some time. Not sure about the windows, but I remember it being mentioned before and being quite suprised about them being fixed.

have a good long look at the door - try and get a window to wind up and down into that more than 1 inch and it'll end up being tiny and in several parts! it's a very shallow door, the height of the window needed is almost as deep as the door, there is no vertical support area to stop it flapping around on the sweep so you'd need more glass below the window line, which would stop it going down as far, and the rake on the back of the door means the back edge of the glass would have to be half way along the length of the door.

The only semi-viable method would be to have a rotating window as per the stratos, but on a roadster that really is a very naff option - IMO worse than having slot in side screens.
