Well what a week dear readers - first the two new radiators (see "Praise and respect where due" elsewhere in the forum), then all my questions answered on PSE without the electricals (booked in for next week) - and now another plus on the tyre front.

Under the Kwik-Fit price promise (which I knew nothing about until querying his price) two new rears 295/30/18 N3 Bridgestone SO2 for my 4S cab (better than the SO2A currently fitted I have read here on PH somewhere ?) supplied and to be fitted by the manager himself, who used to work at an Aston garage and even knew about the N rating and the metal bar that needs fitting to save the discs, rim tape etc etc etc.

I may have accidentally knocked £20 off the lowest price I had already been quoted..........

£220 each - now just how cool is that ?!!!

Yes magic I SO knew THAT was coming if not from you then someone else!!!!

Offered to you by the same blokes who turned up to tarmac your drive perhaps ?

At least mine don't have the spatter from the angle grinder where the wheels were cut off !

Anyway - considering all the previous quotes I've had - I'm gleefully happy thank you very much indeed.

At least one of my mates is useful....

Not really a fair comparison, you've got a great price.

Pretty good price for SO2s. Last rears I bought were cheaper Pirelli assimetrico N3s and they came in at £177.50 fitted, per tyre from www.protyre.co.uk (small southern based chain, owned by Micheldever).

Must admit I find Kwik Fit the cheapest here in Bristol. I have had quotes for 2 x 235-35-19 and 2 x 265-35-19 from a number of suppliers including Protyre all around the £850 mark but my local Kwik Fit only wanted £774 all in and I was allowed to check each wheel over as the tyres were fitted to make sure there was no damage

Hmmm, those 19 inch tyres are pretty expensive then. Last four tyres for my turbo (on 18s) came in at £609 inc fitting (Protyre Bristol).
