Hi,

I have tried to connect my PS2 to my wireless broadband router today via a USB cable - but without luck.

The USB light on the router becomes live when the two are connected, but when I try to run any NetPlay games (eg Pro Evo Soccer 5, Tiger Woods, etc...), it comes up with the network play in the game ghosted out?

Is there something I am supposed to enable on the PS2 or am I doing something blatantly wrong?

Any help appreciated.

You need a crossover ethernet cable. AFAIK, you can't connect with a USB. You do have the network adaptor (or the new slimline PS2) don't you?

some games offer "network gaming" through the firewire port on the front (which is only on the older style PS2's, not the new slimline systems), but if you want to play over the internet, then you need to use the lan port on the back of your PS2 (standard fit on the slimline PS2, but you need to buy the network kit for the older style PS2).
