Its funny, when I got home, I did have one of the neighbours see the black wedge and say "It was red yesterday - You don't half paint'em quick don't you"!

Seriously this is a terifying motor. It's accelarates faster in 3rd than the 400 did in second, faster in 4th than the 400 in 3rd and so on ....and it's avaraged 25 mpg on the run home and with some demonstrations after getting home!!

It's the engine that sealed it. Blows the absolute socks off the 400.

Too in Luuuuuuuuuuuvvvvvvvvvv to change mine,but would consider engine enhancement or replacement but havent got that far yet.When we catch up you will have to let me have a go if the difference is that great I might be tempted to "go large" Lush motor tho,never keen on the red but yours and Dave's(DP400) do look good.

Red never my first choice of colour either, but whats under the skin is fantastic. Everyone who's come with me for a rip have just burst out laughing ... any gear any revs....wallop

Me neither. Red is ok but a nice blue or burgundy floats my boat. It was just the right condition when I had looked at so many poor examples that sold it for me.

Although the 400 is a better looking car (who can argue) the extra power the 4.5 gives is just incredable - So much so, I am already looking into a 4.6 conversion for the 400.

As you said Wyn, any gear, any revs, WALLOP and giggles-a-plenty.
