Click here to mail me not displayed in my profile

I've noticed that despite having an email address configured in my profile, I do not see click here to mail me displayed if I view my profile through the members directory. Is there something else I need to do to get this setup - it used to work ok.

If you edit your profile, is the check box that says something like 'allow other members to mail me' checked?
