Boot release cable

The boot release cable on my 89 S2 has snapped at the plastic lever on the steering column. I was left with a cylindrical piece of metal with a screw fitting in the end which has obviously snapped off, and no tension on the cable. Looking at it, it probably needs to be replaced, unless someone knows differently.

Tried to find TVR car parts on the net to source a replacement, but their page comes up as unavailable. Are they still in business? Has anyone out their got their number if they are, or know of an alternative source.
