Swapping my 911 for a T350
Discussion
I've had my 993 Carrera for about 7 months now and I love it dearly. However, I can't stop thinking about those pesky T350's.
They look and sound amazing. The only question I have is would I regret it 2 months down the line when the T350 has blown up or is in the garage again.
The Porsche has been totally hassle free in those 7 months...

Got a Tam in April.
8ooo miles later I'm still grinning like a maniac when I get anywhere near it.
Problems so far; broken wire in steering column which meant that the wipers stopped working. Fixed while at waited at Racing Green (Jolly Nice CHaps...).
I haven't regreted it one bit.
With all respect, Porsches are 10 a penny (tried to count how many I saw in London on Saturday). They may be damn good cars, and the motoring press might love 'em. But if you want to feel special...... drive a Trevor.
Or at least have a test drive, mate. If you grin - get it! If not, you've a fine car already.

I agree you see alot of 911s about but not enough TVRs. In fact I never seen any Tivs about until this morning. I have owned a Tamora since last November and have done about 5000 miles in it. The only problems so far have been with the oil pressure sender unit which leaked. David Hendry replaced it with sender unit Mk2 and all is OK now. The windscreen trim needs replacing at some stage
, and the glove box lid is loose all the time
. I had it serviced recently at David Hendry and it came through without any problems.
I have never owned a car before that turns so many heads when you drive down a highstreet. People are always coming up and saying what a great looking and sounding car it is. All I can say is the enjoyment of driving and owning a TVR far out way those niggly little problems you get with it.
The 911 is a good car, but I think a Tiv wins hands down for me - Tivs are Fab
So I say go for it - Buy a Tiv today without delay.

You need to ask Tailslide this question...
I've asked him before and he quite liked his 993, but seemed to think it was only fun when you were really really pushing it and therefore not really alive enough at sane speeds.
Having witnessed his T350 being driven flat out and knowing what a 993RS is capable of, I'd say the T350 pretty much obliterates the 993 in performance terms (everywhere, including corners!)

What Ben said .......
The 993 sportpack was a quality car, but the T350 feels exciting from 30mph. Like difference between a cruise ship and a jetski.

Not to worry, more than likely if I do have a change I shall be back in a few months
