I'm off to the ring for the weekend of 10-14th August; I'll be in a dark blue (sigma to pug geeks) 306 XSi and with several 306 gti-6s and a solitary Saxo... It'd be cool to see some of you guys over there; if you post what you'll be driving then I'll keep my eyes open

Dave it'll be great to see you there; we'll be staying in Adenau so not quite as convenient for that restaurant as last time, but we'll have to grab a beer if you're around in the evenings

Dico; we'll be travelling over on thursday as well- 10am ferry from Dover to Dunkirk so we're meeting at 8am at Medway services and we'll maybe see you at some point on the journey.

I think we'll be taking it pretty steady as last time we ploughed along at 130+ (and not kph) the whole way cos the only guy with directions got a bit excited; I don't think my engine liked it much, or the mathematician in me either when I looked at the odds of getting busted in france or belgium! At least we were in French cars I guess!

Come on then, own up. Which of you lot in the blue 306 had a massive moment at Breidscheid this weekend? I've never since so much over correcting - under correcting- over correcting - under correcting- over correcting - under correcting- over correcting - under correcting- over correcting - under correcting- over correcting - under correcting PMSL

Was one of a substantial group of Brits in Pugs, I know the guys and were were all having a good laugh at the, er, audio footage. The second last "correction" (and I use the term loosely) was fabulous, doesn't correction imply things are meant to get better?

Unfortunately one of their number purchased some Armco at Hatzenbach later on Sunday but no injuries. They'll be back.

Just realised this is the thread started by same group (derr, I need more than 3hrs sleep)

Joney, the Breidsheid Pug was John wasn't it? R tyres certainly make for some rapid flip flopping

Well, all I can say is that it looked rather comical seeing the Pug weaving from side to side trying to avoid the wall, well saved in the end though. Sorry to hear about the later armco purchase but at least nobody was hurt.

No Gary, I would never weave at Breidscheid, I'm too old to have reactions

hello gents, we got back late last night after having to wait for ages to try and get all the cars back- caught the 8pm instead of 2pm ferry... one of the 306s is still there, but we'll let his insurance process his claim before commenting there, and the saxo finally decided it wasn't moving any further so is there still at the really top notch pug garage about 30k away in a town I can't remember the name of. the one that had the moment at breidsheid was Steve in his nile blue 306 with weller steels; a following vehicle happened to accidentally have a video camera running so we got the footage from the owner which provided plenty of laughs- it went side to side 6 times before he finally got it all under control! We have a dent in the bonnet from my brother Tom clouting the kerb so hard on the left/right before miss-hit-miss that the suspension strut hit the bonnet, but apart from that and the monsterous amount of smoke and flame our car is spitting and the <300 miles to a tank we're getting we're fine, despite well over 300 miles of track driving and over 1000 @5000rpm on the continent alone!

Only pugs+ 1 saxo in our group Hugo, but we did pick up the odd addition whilst blatting it along...

Great to see you again Dave; you're so much quicker than last time (and that was quick!) and even with my semi slicks I couldn't gain any ground despite driving the balls of the car! Also great dedication to the job to get up at 5am or whatever it was yesterday; I felt like shit at 8am

Can't quite make it out but if that is a red 205 then it was one of our boys. A very lucky one who manageed to collect only a very minor scrape on the rear bumper...
