Oil Pressure Warning on Tamora
Discussion
Whenever I accelerate hard or if I’m on the motorway and push it much over 100mph I always get a warning oil pressure 27 psi alert coming up. It drives absolutely fine and my oil levels are as they should be but this warning keeps on making a little appearance whenever I show off how stupidly fast I can go. Any ideas?
Oil Pressure Sender Unit - Get it changed to Oil Pressure Sender Unit MK2.
I had the same problem. The oil pressure never went above 28psi, so I had it changed at my local TVR dealer. Problem went away.
Also check the wire that goes to the Oil Pressure Sender, it might be loose or worked loose at high speed.

The oil pressure sender is the only part not made by TVR. I'm not sure who makes the part. My old sender unit leaked like hell, but TVR has a new sender unit Mk2 which seems to do the Biz, and no more oil leaks.
If you have the old sender unit, get the new one fitted. It is worth it in the end.
