Hi all,

I have just put down a deposit for a M12 GTO 3 with lots of upgrades already... - I part exhanged my gorgeous TVR Chimaera but after 4.5 years of ownership decided to have a change! (I will miss the sound and having the roof off)

The car i have bought has a 3 Litre engine and 6 Speed box with the M400 Turbos and all the extras possible from new i.e Track day Sump, A/C, Luggage Set...etc! The guy who owned it is good friends with Lee Noble and was the first GTO 3 to roll off the production line.

I have been looking up various web sites to try and find out as much as i can before picking her up next week but, was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on must-have upgrades/add-ons that i might need? Also, anything to look out for?

Hope to see you on some meets soon?

Cheers

Ross, can see by your profile that you like your "extas". The basic GTO3 is just fine , exactly as Lee designed it. I ran TVR's for ten years before the change only to find that the gripes, clonks and niggles were a thing of the past with the Noble.

I think it's xxxxxxxxxxxxxbut i'm not sure if the 1's are I's and the begining is 'S19' or 'SA9'? - the guys writing is difficult to read!

Looks like the 99th '3' model then.

Nah, the 2.5 numbers were continued into the GTO3 model, then the numbering started again for the 3R.

Err - guys, not sure it's sensible having a whole VIN number on a public forum. Could you edit your posts to delete it.

You wouldn't want to find someone else had put the V5 in their name because they know what the VIN and reg number is...

Sounds like you have a well upgraded car.

Best advice I can have is drive it and then come to the NOC track day!

[small](I did a quick edit just to remove the VIN number. You can get useful info from it but it's best to discuss this via e-mail (or at least send the number via e-mail). On such a widely viewed site, it's best to keep some things private I would suggest this be one of them. Nevertheless, enjoy your new car
