Just got an email from thefastone.co.uk.

Cheers.

Are you thinking of putting some on the R6 ?

I'm due some new tyres soon but might try the new Dunlops (GP?) since bike is mostly used on track at moment.

Not sure. I've currently got the "normal" Diablos, and to be honest, don't think I'm experienced enough to notice the difference between them and the D08's the bike came with!!

Received the same email, 'tis indeed a good price, I've paid nearly that much just for a rear before now. In fact I like the price so much that I've ordered some, even though I don't need them yet and they're excellent tyres btw.

try the Michelin 2CTs thier a great tire they do sadly wear out rather fast though.

Was tempted by the Dunlop GP Racer's as most of my use at present is trackdays. However, thinking about it a bit more, with the weather getting worse & me using the bike on the road now & again the Michelin 2CT, Diablo Corsa or Dunlop D208RR may be the better options.

Went to Cadwell last night on the old Diablo's (rear was about dead) and had a puncture 2 miles from the circuit. Got new Corsa's, went down to 180 on the rear and all I can say is FANTASTIC.

So much grip, good feel, warm up much quiker and totally confidence inspiring. First time I've had my left knee down at Mansfield, the uphill left (Coppice?) at about 90-100. Right knee down at Charlies, Park & Chris (pretty high revs in third - so again probably 90+.

Only thing I noticed was the tail being livelier under heavy braking (probably due to dropping a size on the rear).

The other thing was, focused events tyre guy set my pressures to 32 front and 31 rear. I'll be sticking with that for sure.

Got soaked on the way home!

BTW, I thought £220 for a pair fitted, valved and balanced at the track was a good price, but now I'm not so sure!
