Help! Accelerator cable connection bit snapped

On Friday I had the pleasure of breaking down with what I first thought was the accelerator cable snapping. When I opened the bonnet the cable was fine but a.... piece of metal (not sure on what it is exactly) that it was connected to at the throttle had snapped. Thats about the best description I can give right now. But has anyone experienced this happening? Is it an easy fix(for someone who's spanner skills are at the 'bigfuse' or sparewheel change level)? Does the part exist? Do I need to turn the engine upsidedown to get at it?! Also, if anyone can post some pics of the cable connection to the throttle (on a 4.5 if it makes a difference) that would be excellent - then I can see whats fallen off.

Tis an easy fix. The bracket is badly spot welded in two places which isn't really up to the job for such an important bit. Held in place by the rear two rocker cover bolts, but don't drop the two spacers between the bracket and the rocker cover
Also check that you have two springs pulling the throttle closed at the same time. Many times on this forum you'll hear about someone who's throttle cable snaps and the engine sreams out of control. This is simply because a spring has broken and not been checked at the services. Then when the second spring goes there is nothing returning the car to idle.

Cheers! So presumably its the bracket thats attached to the rocker cover that's snapped then? Any idea where I can get one from?
Re. that link - with the aid of a friendly passing AA flatbed driver, I cable tied my throttle open to get home. It was a bit sketchy, but I made it. I bet if I wasn't in a Cerb the bloke wouldn't have been so keen to help. Apparently he loved his cars & wanted to see what was under the bonnet!

Sorry, I seam welded mine. Guarantee the rest of the car might fall apart but that bit will still be standing
