Hi all,

My names Tom and I’ve been on the Pistonheads forums for quite some time now as I find it a great place for information and banter about cars and other related topics, but this is my first post. I bought my first digital camera about 3 months ago, a Casio Exilim EX-Z750. I did a fair bit of research before buying.... about 3 or 4 months actually, hehe. I chose this camera because I wanted a nice compact to start off with, but also one with manual functions and a good sensor and lens. The Casio matched all of these criteria and also gives amazing battery life and super fast operation with no lag in taking or viewing pictures. The moment I got it I kicked myself for not buying one earlier as I’m heavily involved in IT for my job, university course and personal hobbies. Anyway, I started playing about with it just taking pictures of various things and found that I was taking some quite good shots, well, that’s what people were telling me. So I thought I’d share some of my photos on here, as I see so many nice shots all the time in various posts (a bit of arse-licking never goes amiss , and let the professionals tear them apart or compliment them as you wish.

BTW: All my shots are un-cropped and just resized from the camera, with the exception of the church picture, which I simply colorized in PSP.

Here goes…..

Lawn mower shot a stone into our patio doors and this was the result

Arty black and white shot

An interesting flower

Striking shot of the local Minster through some railings

Nice depth of field sunset shot

The end of a long night out, interesting to make out shapes behind the blur

One of the first photos I ever took, my car after a good wash and polish

Small church in Sheffield off West Street

An amazing sky early one morning, looked even better in the flesh

A picture taken of the sky reflected off of my car roof, interesting!

Another interesting flower

Smokers beware!

Comfy leather

Nice sunset once again

Right, now I guess I just have to wait

Cheers

Tom

Like this one very much. Nice "observation".

I have no complaints. To me it demonstrates that one can still get very good photos using a P&S camera.

The first one is great. Some of the others are also very good. Seems like you have good ideas and a good eye. Keep up the good work!
