Well as some of you may have seen on here i smashed the bike up back on the 24th June. The engineers report said that it was a total loss on 21st July and today they tell me how much i am going to get. All i can say is ing wankers!!!!!!!!!!

They have offered me £5550 less my £500 excess = £5050 less finance of £3299 = £1751.

This is on a brand new CBR600RR that i paid £7300 for 5 weeks before the accident. Can you believe it??? This is the worst insurance company i have ever come across in my life.

Bring it on.... we have a fight on our hands.....

Never forget they're in the business of trying to make profit. They'll test with a low offer, to see if you rollover and take it. Don't go on the offensive, just explain to them that the bike was new and therefore that's what you're expecting in terms of replacement.

It looks like an 06 CBR600RR with a 1000 miles can be had for around £6k. So if you haven't got a "new replacement" policy that's probably all they'll offer you (before taking the excess off). I don't know the circumstances of the crash but if it was someone else's fault you might be able to get them to make up the difference.

Edited to say - Good luck and I hope you get the new one before the Summer ends.
