I have no sound coming out of my speakers, yet i no they work because i have tried them in another pc.
I have also checked pc settings to make sure the system isnt on mute, or volume turned right down & also checked that they are plugged into the correct port. Anyone have any suggestions as to why i cant get them to work please?

Is the sound integrated on the motherboard. Mine is, and it wouldn't work until I updated the drivers.

Might need a little more information (system, sound card etc) - if the speakers work on another system than the issue is either with the sound card, the drivers or the connections. Are these "powered" speakers - if not then they will need to be plugged into the headphone socket and allow the soundcard to amplify the signal.

Indeed. When i recently changed my soundcard from an integrated one to a separate one, it took me ages to finally work out how to route the sound out through my speakers.

If you have just installed a new soundcard, check that it doesn't have it's own speaker output

Did they work and then stop working or is it a case of no audio on a new PC?
