Clever but sooo cheap

I had to fix two switches on the 400se last night, the reversing light switch and the boot release switch. Managed to get the reversing switch out without removing the dashboard fortunately, still a pita for a £10 switch though.
The boot switch though - easy enough to get to but I could not believe that it was a standard switch (had one in the bits cupboard) mounted in the plastic bung from the bottom of a table leg. You know the things, black plastic with ribbed grips up the side to fit in square section steel tube, the hole for the push switch was not even drilled in the centre. Clever yes, quality no.
Still the upside is it cost nothing to repair it.
