Tasmin Seats

Hi All.

Since replacing my seats with Cobra's, I now have a pair of redundant Tasmin seats ( and subframes ) that I dont need. They do have fairly large tears down the seems on both seats unfortnately - bum area and backrest.

If anyone wants them, your more than welcome to have for nothing ( or a few or ) !!

Interested ??? email me through profile and we will sort summit. be quick though as they are destined for the tip cause I need the space.

Hi. What model Cobras did you fit and did they go in easy enough?
Thinking of doing the same but was concerned about subframes etc.

I have fitted Cobra Clubmans - I havent used subframes on them because the seats / car have exactly the same hole / attachment point positions !!! I suppose I was lucky though cause the driving position is spot on for me - may not be the same for others in which case the adjustable subframes would be required or new holes drilled in floor.

It may also be the case that the hole positions in my floor were put in for aftermarket seats and may be different for others.

Also - the shop I bought them from let me 'try b4 I buy' under the cover story that they may not fit - not buying them if they dont... kinda thing.

Would the subframes raise the seats up by much? I'm a nonTallbloke so knee to steering wheel clearance is not an issue.

Subframes I tried, only upped it by about inch or so - would also depend on the depth of seat. I tried some other bucket before the Cobra's ( cant remember name ) with subframes and they only left about 5 or 6 inches between seat and bottom of steering wheel. This wasnt enough for me personally.

I have fitted a Corbeau Forza into the FHC I am building for sprints. That also went straight to the floor without a seperate subframe, and I am not tall, but it has proved just the right height.I have put some pretty heavy duty spreader plates under the floor to stop the seat ripping out, as there is no real strength there.
