Hi

I have a strange situation with my car. Occasionally when I set (or unset) the alarm, the indicator lights flash as normal but the drivers stays lit. It is an intermitent problem which seems to go through phases. Didn't do it for 6 weeks but then did it 3 times yesterday.

Just wondererd if anyone had experienced a similar problem or knew what could be going on?

Never noticed it, just checked and they seem pretty flicker free.

If the indicators and hazzards are working normaly at other times then suspect the alarm ECU.
Think it is in the passenger footwell behind the kick panel, check its not full of water.

Interesting that.... hasn't done it for 6 weeks while hot and sunny... been raining for 2 days suddenly it's reappeared.

Thanks for the info

Check the interior light is not on.. could be the switch that indicates the door is shut .. is not aligned properly if the light is still on..

It's the alarm ECU - happened on my Tamora due to the connector working loose after vibrating on the bulkhead.

I velcroed the unit in an upright position against the wing - not happened again.

Just had the AA out (for a different problem) and they went into the passenger foorwell and found it soaking wet) certainly looks like this is the problem then.

They are about to take it away on a truck... power steering gone so will ask Drivestyle to have a look at this when it is in.

Thanks a lot everyone for the advice
