Should I cause a fuss?

Call me a numpty but I'm getting a bit sick of nearly being run over on the pavement on our high street. The problem is that large things (like a double decker bus) use the road which is fine if they are only going one way but when they meet (twice an hour) one of them has to drive onto the pavement to get through.
This is really pissing me off, I've nearly been hit (they don't slow down, you jump into a doorway) a number of cars have been hit, a pushchair was hit (thankfully the child was ok) it is beyond a joke.
So I had a quick look at the highway code and found that, surprise, surprise it is illegal to drive on the pavement.
So should I make a fuss, stop the next bus I see doing it and call the rozzers in? In some respects I hate the very Meldrewness of the thing but it is a matter of time before someone is killed and after yesterdays threads I feel like having a go at making life a little better. However I don't want the bus service pulled as we need it (when I cannot say I ever use it but lot so of other people do).
Go on what would you do (oh and they are damaging the houses on the High St some of which have been standing for many, many years)?

I also emailed the council asking when I could expect the results of the investigation I was promised in November after I emailed my concerns. They promised a response within 7 days, that was in November. Still what do they care I only pay their bleedin wages, does the phrase 'public servant' mean nothing?

Poxy snivel servants.. you need to get the local media involved tout suite if you want a result, IMO..
Or a stunt of some sort.. get a doll, stick it in a pushchair and wait for it to be mown down by one of these buses.. be sure to have the contact number of a local paper reporter & photographer handy...

Email/write to a councillor particularly one of those pernikity types and they'll get somthing done. 'Think of the Children' time.

Good point, I have emailed stagecoach cambridge today politely asking them to clarify their position.

try copying the e-mail to your local/nearest DETR Office, also enquire when their operators licence is up for renewal. arm yourself with digital photos, video evidence.
If you dont get a response from council and/or stagecoach deliver copies of e-mails to local nick and newspaper.
Kick one of the council hard enough and they will all limp
