sierra dohc

hi, does anyone know if you can fit the sierra dohc motor in a jago? my brother in law has bought a complete very tidy sierra, ripped the engine out and its currently sat in front of his jago chassis, but a quick look with a tape measure and a half hearted attempt to mount it somewhere right makes the engine look to big, has he gone and bought the wrong car??

It will fit but will need new engine mountings as the standard ones put the fan where the radiator wants to be. You may have to resite the battery from its bulkhead position to the chassis rail under the nearside headlight (which is where it was on the Anglia and Minor 1000 cars).
