996 Ruf Kompressor is it worth it????
Discussion
I just bought a 2001 996 C2 CAB with aerokit. Car has only covered 30.000 KM (was garaged for several years) I bought it from a good friend (so it is all reliable).
The car is excellent, looks hot. Now I have two options, keep this car for two years and then sell it for the money I paid for now (40.000 Euro) and then upgrade to a two year old 997 Turbo or a good 996 Turbo.
Or go to RUF and install the Kompressor kit ( dont know exactly how many extra horses this will bring us ) and then keep the car a bit longer.
What is your opinion which route to go for, keep in mind I am coming from 9 years of Boxster Fun (360.000Km)
Thanks for the comments

...not sure a Cab is the best place to start fettling with ruf upgrades. The chassis may not feel that great with more power. The boxster would be a much better place to start if you want a convertible ruf'd porsche.
Hmmm... is the 911 Turbo Cab that different, structurally, then?

Turbo cab and C4S cab have more structural strengthening than the narrow body ones.

900-TR would love to read your RUF story.
Actually my original plan was to run my Boxster 2.5 till it had 400.000km on the clock and then ship it to RUF and get a major transplant done on it.
But now I had this super opportunity to buy the C2Cab, with such a low mileage, I just had to go for the carrera.
But then a little extra power is mmm allways welcome

....ah mr vandereydt, i remember you now from your postings on boxa.net. Aren't you the guy who racked up massive mileage (kilometerage?!?!
) commuting from holland to belgium. How many many miles did you manage in the boxster before you moved it on. It would be really interesting to know how much you managed to get for your car with such big mileage.
Good luck in your search for more power.
