Aerials once again

next job is to sort out my lousy radio reception. I've searched all the threads and seen mention that the aerial comes out in the boot as a coax connection. Does it? as I can't find it.
Where does the dash aerial connection run to. Am I better leaving it alone and running a completely new one?

I gave up searching here, too many conflicting views.
I bought a DAB radio and fiited a glass mount aeriel and it's brill!
You could do worse than going to Halfords and fitting a glass mount FM aeriel though, stick it to the rear screen and run it to the head unit, Decent FM reception! About £16 all in.

OK, a re-read through the threads and a scan through the manual and I was still no clearer so I hit my spares depot in the garage.
I had a spare rubber whip mount aerial that I first tried mounting within the car but that didn't have great reception, so I used the lead to make car aerial to coax convertor and then used a standard indoor T fm aerial. This runs down the centre console and into the boot via the helmet storage. I tried running it along the rollcage at this point but found I had a better reception if I ran in in the boot. The T in held by double sided tape out of sight above the fuel tank.
Reception is great and I've now got FM radio.

Morning Dave, an early start for you today then ! You did better than me Dave , I just used to listen to CD's 
I'd reccomend getting some MB quartz front speakers too, they make a big difference.
Incidentally I went to have my wheels balanced yesterday, and guess what? Just like yours, my front tyre was on the wrong way round (Rotaion wise) !!
