Just fixed my leaking oil cooler for the second time tonight.

First one was a hole in teh cooler, fair enough new one on, thought that was that. Ohhh no. Still a flood of oil under the car.

So off with the wheel again and this time a bit of sealant on the threads of the hoses that attach to the cooler.

So with that done I think, lets have a looky at the caliper see if I can sus why it pulls to the left under heavy breaking. Yup you guessed it soaked in oil!

Looked clean from the front but the pads and rear of the caliper were dripping. Pads glazed over the the degas groove was chock full of sludge. Remove the pads, degrease and rough up the pad material again.

Hopefully that's that now.

I've just fixed my oil cooler leak, well almost oil cooler.
It was the pipe itself leaking at the connector, i had the old connector cut off and a new one fitted.

Really don't want the agro of all that.

and of the two pipes it had to be the long one, so i had to undo the plate under the engine just to pull the pipe out.

Nice, yep I've had that off 3 times in as many months to change the coolant pipes and then sort weeping hose clips....
