Try 365 rows/columns, each with number of parcels.
Place an excel line plot on the worksheet, and point it at the rows/columns.
Hey prsto.... Line Plot.

I guess I could do it that simply,

but I thought I'd ask if there was a weekend-less
half professional looking effort I might take credit for,

but, yeah, if nothing else pops up, it'll be a simple SS

cheers Dilbert

BTW are you still an SC enthusiast ?

You can get Excel to produce some pretty readable results. Does it *have* to be a line chart?

Have a look here for some hints:
www.juiceanalytics.com/weblog/?p=239

Messing around with that rept formula could get you a very nice integrated data table and bar chart thingie.

SPSS has an easy to understand charting element if you can get hold of it however, although it can plot just about anything, it's not going to produce "designed" charts. If you are using Excel, why not try to emulate some of Tufte's thoughts on readability? An Excel chart doesn't have to look like every other Excel chart if you take the time to fiddle around with the thing...

Or if you're needing something for a presentation, what about borrowing a mac and hacking something out in the chart function of Pages or Keynote. That can produce some very nice looking and simple (i.e. readable) charts.

Or maybe some form of Tufte sparkline if you don't require people to read data off the chart and are merely trying to suggest patterns?

Just thoughts.

Nope, but it could probably do with it. It's in storage at the moment. Mainly because I'm an arse and if there's some minor stuff that needs doing, then I just want to do the whole thing at the same time. Also, because I couldn't afford the fuel at the moment.

Roll on sensible job time.
