Don't you worry Rich, it's just what I was after, and I promise I'll only sell it for a griff 500 when I can afford it (it'll be a while
) Must admit, it's a whole lot more brutal than the wedge, really surprised me that, I always assumed the wedge would be the more 'hardcore' type of motor. Saying that, I like the fact it takes a hamfisted sod to drive it, perfect. Thanks Again Richard, and if you find the ignition key in the wedge send it on mate! I still haven't found it, I reckon I must have dropped it in the wedge.
I'll go and have a couple of keys made tomorrow. Hope the wedge keeps you occupied for a while, I'm giving the S the works tomorrow. Keep in touch pal.
Mike.
(And if I even mention selling it, please come over to Bristol and kick seven bells of sh1te out of me for talking nonsense.)

Funny you should say that, thats exactly what pookie said about mine after the test drive and that was after owning an S3 and Chim, beleive me when I say mine was a little more brutal than standard

So yours was more brutal than mine

I'm really surprised at how 'hard' it is. My wedge was a 390, and was a match for the 400se wedges, which in theory had the same engine as the V8S, I don't know whether it's because the S is lighter but it certainly feels faster. Yes, the wedge had power steering, and didn't have rock hard suspension, but the S just feels faster.....not sure if it is but I guess that doesn't matter.
Mind you, the wedge would certainly lift it's skirts up and has been known to obliterate a boxster.....in a straight line though.

I always thought the 390 had the hand built lump that really did make 270hp, so it must be the lighter weight of the S
. I've passengered in one superb 390 and thought it a lot more grown up than the V8S in every department, but not as quick though
