I recall you need to adjust the SMTP outgoing setting if u want to send via popmail, if youv'e logged into via a diff isp.

so now i'm using msn instead of ntl, with the new problem, i dont know what the new setting will be.
ive tried - msn.com and msn.co.uk - but to no avail

so what is it? [or is it something else?]

original error msg...

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'associates@amazon.co.uk'. Subject '', Account: 'YAHOO', Server: 'smtp.ntlworld.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 relaying mail to amazon.co.uk is not allowed', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

You should change the outgoing SMTP setting to your new provider and the incoming POP3 should stay as your old provider.

That's what I do when I change providers - still use my first original email account and I've changed loads of times.

Typically mail.<isp> or smtp.<isp> for the outgoing server, which is the one you will need to change.

As others have said your outgoing mail server is wrong. At the moment you are connected to msn and trying to send mail via ntl's customer SMTP relay. If ntl allowed this, every spammer in the world would start sending their email that way. Open mail relays = bad.

Your new isp should have given you the details of their mail servers.
