Hi everyone

Perhaps someone could help here. I have a warranty on our 4 year old Tamora with approximately 11K miles on it.

It had a FULL 2005 Specification rebuild in October 2005 at TVR Power whilst with the previous owner

So sound car, not particularly old, low mileage - yes?

I had a letter this morning from the company saying that the car was too old and had a too higher mileage, thank you very much for your custom and so long and thanks for the fish!!

Anyone else had experience of this kind of brush off and did you challenge or merely take your custom elsewhere?

If the latter - any recommendations?

No, but TVRs must be costing them too much. Which warranty company/warranty?

Personally i think they have done you a favour. You may hear stories of warranty payouts but generally they are legalised gansters who avoid payouts at all costs. A slush fund would be your better bet.

OK

So stick a monthly amount away for those rainy days, so to speak

Any other warranty experiences?

Ah, so its not the 'official' TVR extended warranty company. Did they offer you a refund?

Ah, sorry - didn't make it clear...

They are choosing NOT to renew the cover as of the expiry date which is approx 1 months time

Some of them aren't particularly legalised. Ask Ford.

My warranty company CPP did the same earlier this year. Thankfully they covered £1.2k of the £5k engine rebuild and £500 for a new Rad, both claims went through during the last month of warranty.... phew!

I wasn't surprised when they said I could not renew the warranty.

Well, had a reply....

Apparently TVR are not part of their customer profile and they will not be renewing the cover on TVR's upon expiry

Right...on a mission to find someone who will!

Car is young enough for the TVR approved one, so I'd go with that
