Afternoon All,

Just wanted to see if anyone can help in deciding a bet.

I watched Miami Vice with a couple of friends at the weekeend, and since then we have been arguing about one of the cars.

At the end of the film with the main shoot out and then Colin Farrell drives his new lady off to a house by the sea, but I want to know what car was he driving.

I have said its the Dodge Charger SRT8 with aftermarket alloys on it, but my friend says its the Chrysler 300C SRT8.

The constant abusive emails, texts and phone calls are getting really boring now, so if anyone actually knows the answer and has some proof, both our girlfriends would be very grateful!

Cheers

It's the Charger. Without a doubt. I can't believe your mate thinks it's a 300C when there are plenty clear and obvious shots of the front of the car.

Google for 'Dodge Charger SRT8 Miami Vice' if you want plenty of backup.

As for the film, thought it was weak in the middle. Really lacking something.

Both cars appear in the film. As you've stated, the car Crockett drives at the end of the film is a mean looking black Dodge Charger. However, right at the start of the film at the first "bad guy meet" one set of baddies has a silver (I think) Chrysler 300c on big rims.

Half true as it is a silver 300C at the start but they're not bad guys, they're undercover feds, that's why they get blown away.

Sorry to be so pedantic about it!!

Fair enough - I'll be getting it on DVD soon as it's out

BTW, the white Beemer - M6 or not? I think it is as it's got twin exhausts either side, but it appeared de-badged and the aftermarket wheels don't help identify it.

The Charger is cool

Guessing a fake as it didn't have the detailing between the front wheels and the doors.

its not an m6 i think its an 645i, its got single exhausts on either side, m6 has quad, no detailing as mentined above, between wing and door, and no carbon roof either

I must be going mad, I could have sworn the Beemer has twin pipes each side. Not that you couldn't get an aftermarket exhaust like that.

I read on one of the film forums that it was a BMW 645 CI with modifications including 18" chrome Zanetti alloys.

I just found a good little video of Colin Farrell getting used to performance cars in preparation for the film.
