Can anyone save this?
Discussion
In my defence, it was a bit overcast and rainy and getting late. And I only have a happy-snappy camera. And, crucially, no talent whatsoever.
My meagre photoshop skills can't make anything worthwhile from this:
Can anyone help? I'd like to be able to see some detail of the car, without the whole thing being really washed out. If it makes any difference, I think I only want this bit:
...although I'll take advice on cropping and stuff as well if you've any to offer.

As I see in your profile that this is your car.
I would say that the best bet is to wait till you have a spare hour at sunset time one cloudy day, and then go out and re shoot it. Take loads of shots from different angles and with different bits in focus and you will then end up (if your lucky) with one thats really good!
It could be helped out in PS if you send over the full jpg to me or someone I guess, but Pshop can only work with whats already there.

5 mins...needs retaking really...
edit because there's more posts there now! Thanks Gemm and dobbo too - to me on my laptop the colours look truer on Martin's, but I'll try them on different screens. Thanks to all of you.

Instead of cloning the whole car from the beach*, I just cloned a couple of the accents - lights / trim etc onto dobbo's version.....I think that this lifts the dull areas in your original

A slightly different approach.... (again 2 mins)
(shame you didn't clean the car when you were at the beach!

(shame you didn't clean the car when you were at the beach!
)Thanks for these - to be fair, I washed the car and then went out for a run to dry it off.
I quite like it being dirty - shows that it's being used (I hope) properly. There are some clean'n'shiny photos on my website too...
